The 2024 Tour de France Femmes had its ‘Grand Départ’ in my birthplace, Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. In 2010, when I was 15 years old, I stood on the famous Erasmusbrug to capture the men’s race with my first serious camera. Back then, I wouldn’t have believed you if you had told me I would become a professional photographer. But here I am. I took this opportunity to capture the race through the eyes of the spectators, which has become a trademark of my photography style. I aim to capture moments as pure as they are.
