So this is me. I’m 30 years old, born and raised in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by creation, with photography being one of its first expressions. My younger self filled photo books with disposable camera shots and handwritten stories, written phonetically, as knowledge of grammar and form hadn’t yet polluted my mind.
Since the age of 11, I’ve been racing bikes, which has taken me on numerous adventures worldwide. That passion led me to focus my studies in business and marketing at the Academy of Rotterdam on sports marketing, where I graduated with research on the membership model within professional cycling.
After working at a sports marketing agency for a few years, I began searching for answers to bigger questions: Where do I want to grow? What truly gives me joy? That reflection led me to start freelancing, specialising in photography, marketing, and business strategy. In this way, I gave shape to my most important values: freedom, authenticity, meaning, and creation.
This started a journey of exploration, developing myself as a photographer for the travel and outdoor industry, cycling brands, and athletes. I’ve also been working as a brand marketeer for different types of organisations, both within and beyond sports marketing, gaining knowledge in branding, marketing, and business strategy.
Alongside my personal work, I’m involved in several ventures, such as E2.718 Studio, a content and PR agency for the cycling and travel industry. I’m also part of The Wedding Family, a business I co-founded with my brother (a videographer) and my girlfriend (a make-up artist). Combining my work as a photographer with other projects gives me a dynamic balance that I really value.
Beyond business, I’m deeply interested in philosophy and spirituality. This comes from my urge to question existence and reality itself. That exploration has given me a stoic mindset: the ability to observe life rationally from a distance, to recognise feelings and patterns in both individuals and groups, and to see things from a broader perspective.
This perspective also guides me in my work. I want to connect with the people behind brands, combining smart and meaningful strategy with authentic content creation. Especially in a world filled with distractions, AI-generated content, and an excess of posts to consume, I believe authenticity is the new gold.
Speaking of AI, I see it as an opportunity to take care of repetitive processes and free up time for things that bring more joy. I’ve integrated this into my workflows. We live in interesting times.
As I embrace what life has to offer, I look forward to a possible collaboration with you. It would be great to have a chat. Please get in touch.
